Participants will use small group role play to practice adapting and implementing resources to design their own sessions on three-dimensional formative assessments.  Expanding on participants’ experiences in the afternoon keynote, “General Session II: Designing and Adapting 3D assessments” -  Katie Van Horne, Ph.D. and James Blake, Ed.D. will give an overview of existing resources for leading professional development.  The activity centers on, “Analyzing assessment tasks for 3D-ness”.  This is a portion of Advancing Coherent and Equitable Systems of Science Education (ACESSE) Resource B, which is available on OER Commons as an useful tool to support assessment work.
